...And Oceans

A.M.G.O.D.

...AND OCEANS are a Finnish band, although the overall sound would lead you to believe that they're based out of Norway (traces of SATYRICON, ENSLAVED and older DIMMU are easily attributable in previous albums, like 'Dynamic Gallery' or 'Symmetry'.)

A.M.G.O.D. is a very good starter album for beginners of black metal because of the accessible techno/industrial-like production and American aggro-guitar lines(but don't be fooled, this is most definitely Viking black metal, not nu-metal! 2:40 minutes into "Intelligence is Sexy" proves that well!) 'Tears Have No Name' and the Instrumental 'New Model World' are a good indicator of what 'Cypher' sounds like, their sophomore effort, which drifts the band directly into Industrial Metal.

A.M.G.O.D. is the ultimate BM crossover album; BM purists should admire it for experimentation (but still sticking to conservative BM songwriting principles); New initiations should enjoy it for the same reasons. Highly recommended.
