It's so interesting how Behemoth developed their sound lately: From the raw black metal of their first albums to this strong and exciting death metal (with black influences), these guys from Poland have greatly upgrade their interpretation of the most extreme music.
"Zos Kia Cultus" is an excellent metal album, very solid, and has few weak points (I would only mention the sound of the drums, that is not that consistent, or organic, to support the very good guitar work); My favourite songs here are "Modern Iconoclasts", "No Simpathy for Fools" and "As Above So Below", though there are no bad songs in this album, in my opinion.
Maybe my opinion on this album is a bit suspicious, because I've always liked Behemoth, in their primitive times and recently. But, in this case, the die-hard fan review is no excuse for you all: if you are into anything such as black, death or extreme metal, don't miss this "Zos Kia Cultus: Here and Beyond".
