I remember going to Sam Goodys looking for a few Doom CDs. After going through a whole bunch of crappy albums by bands I can't even remember now, (including an abyssmal Celestial Season EP) I finally hit Gold with "Solar Lovers". The whole album is moody-as-hell and the violins (two of them!) will have you reaching for that bottle of Jack Daniel's. This album along with Solitude Aeturnus' "Through the Darkest Hour" are the reasons I kept my faith in the Doom Genre. Later on I found My Dying Bride, Anathema and Cathedral and now I'm a true believer! --Emperor Samoth"
