It's really a pity when I hear albums like this one spoiled by some particular. Sometimes it's a major clean production, sometimes a silly drummer, sometimes it's unbearable triggers. This time is a horrible singing. This man has no idea of what's happening in his own vocalcords. All is wrong with his singing, really irritating. The music is really ok,I would say halfway between early Paradise Lost and early My Dying Bride. An Ocean Vast has one of the most beatiful leadguitar melodies I've ever had the pleasure of listening to in my whole life and the instrumental Meadows (only bass and drums) seems to be perfect to support the An Ocean Vast melody, maybe this is the reason why I really love it. I love production on this album, drums are absolutely real, snare is deep and full, guitars are perfect, raw, actual and bare. But vocals suck, maybe if they were mixed at a lower one could be able to enjoy the rest in full. Thumb generally up anyway.
