How long, how sad, how beautiful. MDB lost a bit of their heavy side and they gained their smooth melody. The mood is incredibly built, and it is not metal, this is the one and only My Dying Bride. The remarkable unity of these six tracks, their beauty, stun everyone. The hour you devote to this masterpiece should turn into the voyage of ecstasy. The dark river of your emotion shall carry you down the reversed current of time. Deeper and deeper the light and sound like silky shawl caress your nerves till you enter the bleak vessel and disappear on the field fertilized by angels’ feathers. How smoothly do they glide inside your soul, and slide to get there again. Played economically, the sounds are placed where they should be placed. The tracks do not end, they mingle, they become one. They become one with the squashed being of the listener. Pictures are set before your eyes and you absorb them through the tiniest openings in your skin.
