This was the first opeth album I ever heard, and though I've now heard all of them, this one continue's to be my favorite. I think the most intriguing thing about this album is that it is a concept album. The whole cd is filled with beautiful instrumentals; Both heavy and acousitic guitars. Amazing death vocals and crystal clear singing. The lyrics are very poetic, and the story behind the whole cd is just simply amazing and genious. I spent a lot of time just listening to the whole cd all the way through reading all the lyrics along the way until i completely memorized this whole cd. Enough said. If you like good lyrics, killer instrumentals, heavy death lyrics, and an amazing singing voice then this cd is for you....
