I'm absolutely flattened to try and come up with the words of how I feel about this album. I got it back when it was released as a gift from a freind, Kevin Hauk(Hi Kev). I'm still listening to it. Winter is terrifying and beautiful. I'm haunted by this CD. I'm haunted by this CD. (I meant to write that twice.) It's absolutely heartbreaking that a follow up album was never made. To keep in tune with the theme of the music, the cassette tape which how I got it is silver, frost bitten. The artwork on the actual CD is incredible, I dont want to spoil it by describing it in mere words. The artwork is by Veronica Kross. If anyone knows how I can contact her, let me know! Because I want that kind of Art. I keep the cover of the CD on display in my cd case. I'm speachless really at how great this album is. Here is a little of what Winter had to say themselves:
"The Winter way is clear: Bonding music and lyrics to set a mood and convey their feelings toward this tumultous era, in which we all live. They are the echoes of reality, taking the negative aspects of a problem to generate a positive reaction. The enraged voice of the apocalypse, a soundtrack set to the onslaught of a dark, cold, brutal world."
Thats a treat of what is inside the sleeve of the album. Get this Cd, it may not be around much longer. This band needs to get back together! Winter, give us one more! PLEASE!
